Who does what

You order your building from Metal Carports USA. We help you with your design, provide advice on your site planning and place your order with our independent partner manufacturing plant serving your region. The partner plant handles the fabrication, delivery, and installation of your building, and your building comes with that plant's warranty.

Price and deposit

Prices include delivery and installation on a ready site. Sales tax, permits, site-specific engineered drawings, and any required customer-provided lift equipment (such as a telehandler forklift for larger buildings) are not included in the price shown. Required lifts and drawings are disclosed before payment. The deposit is paid to Metal Carports USA when the order is placed and counts toward the total price. The remaining balance is paid directly to the partner plant at installation (or upon delivery, if required by the plant's order form).

Cancellations

Orders cancelled within 15 calendar days of paying the deposit, and before the building is scheduled for delivery, are refunded, less a processing fee of 3% of the deposit. If a building is scheduled before day 15, that ends the refund period. To cancel, email Sales@MetalCarportsUSA.com. After the refund period, the deposit is non-refundable, because each building is made to order.

Site preparation

Permits, HOA rules, and setbacks are the customer's responsibility. So are calling 811, marking any private buried lines, providing reasonable delivery truck access, and having a clear, level site ready on installation day, no more than 3 inches out of level across the building's footprint. A site further out of level can mean extra charges, a missed installation, or a voided warranty. If the crew cannot install because the site is not ready or a required lift is missing, the plant's return-trip or restocking charges, and rescheduling, are the customer's responsibility. Tire ruts, lawn marks, or driveway damage from normal delivery access, and damage to unmarked buried lines, are not covered.

Timing

Lead times are the partner plant's estimates, not guaranteed dates. They start when the customer's site is ready and any permits are in, and they can shift during the plant's busy seasons.

Once a building is fabricated, the installers group it with others into a route, usually several buildings on one truck, and start work when the route is ready. Route schedules are estimates too. If one installation runs long because of rain, snow, storms, soft ground, or anything else, the buildings after it move back.

Customers should not take time off work or rent lift equipment until the crew confirms the installation day. Even a confirmed day can move if the job before it runs long. Routine delays like these do not extend the refund period.

Colors

Colors shown on screen are approximate, and actual paint colors may vary.

Wind and snow ratings

Stated wind or snow ratings apply only when a certified building is properly anchored on a level site and not modified after installation.

Damage, defects, and warranty waiver

The building's workmanship and material warranties are provided solely by the regional partner plant. Warranty terms vary by plant and region. If the building arrives damaged, does not match the order, or has an installation problem, the customer should email Sales@MetalCarportsUSA.com with photos within 7 days of installation so Metal Carports USA can assist with the partner plant under the plant's warranty. Missing this 7-day window does not shorten the time limits in the plant's written warranty.

Metal Carports USA is not the manufacturer or installer and makes no warranties of its own. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the customer waives and Metal Carports USA disclaims all express and implied warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and all warranties against redhibitory or hidden defects under Louisiana law (including La. Civ. Code arts. 2520 through 2548). (Some states do not allow disclaimers of certain implied warranties, so those limits may not apply where prohibited.)

Limits

Metal Carports USA's total responsibility for any claim is limited to the deposit amount the customer paid to Metal Carports USA, except for intentional or gross fault, physical injury, or anywhere else the law does not allow a limit. Metal Carports USA is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential expenses, such as missed wages, lift or equipment rental costs from schedule shifts, or damage to items stored inside the building.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Louisiana law, except where the customer's state law applies regardless. Any legal claim against Metal Carports USA must be brought in the state or federal courts serving Union Parish, Louisiana, except that either side may use small claims court for a claim that qualifies. Nothing in these terms takes away a right the law does not allow a customer to give up.
