Do you deliver to my part of New York?
We serve New York State outside New York City and Long Island. We don’t serve the five boroughs or Nassau and Suffolk counties. Check your ZIP at the top of this page for a definite answer.
Do I need a building permit?
Usually. New York’s Uniform Code applies statewide, and your town, village or city building department issues permits. Ask them before you prepare the site, and ask the zoning office about setbacks and size limits at the same time. New York City has its own building code and Department of Buildings.
What snow load does my building need?
Ask your building department for the ground snow load at your address. It changes a lot across the state. Lake-effect areas east of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, the Tug Hill Plateau and the Adirondacks need much higher loads than New York City. Tell us where snow drifts or slides off other roofs.
My property is in the Adirondack Park. Anything different?
Possibly. The Adirondack Park Agency regulates some building inside the Park, especially near shorelines and wetlands, in addition to town rules. Ask the town and check with the APA before you order.
Can a truck reach my place in spring?
Check for seasonal weight limits. Some counties and towns post local roads during the spring thaw, and a loaded truck may need to wait. Tell us which roads lead to your property.
How do delivery and installation work?
We review your building, location and site details before confirming timing. You prepare a level site and arrange required local approvals. Narrow streets, parking restrictions, tight backyard access, long rural drives and snow storage can make delivery harder. A quote request does not reserve an installation date.
Do I need to call 811 before installation?
Yes. Outside New York City and Long Island, contact UDig NY at least two full working days before work starts, not counting the day you call. In New York City and on Long Island, use New York 811. Tell them where the building will sit and that ground anchors will be installed.
Lines you own, such as power to a garage, are not marked through 811.
How deep does the frost go?
Your building department sets the footing depth for frost, and it is deeper upstate. That matters if you pour a slab with footings or a foundation. Frozen ground can delay anchor installation in winter.
