Your Louisiana questions, answered.

Do you deliver anywhere in Louisiana?

Yes. Our coverage includes the whole state.

Do I need a permit?

Usually. Every parish and city must enforce the Louisiana State Uniform Construction Code, and permits are issued locally. State law limits enforcement on farm structures and on some small residential accessory buildings in lower-wind areas. Ask your parish or city permit office whether your building qualifies before assuming it does.

What wind rating does my building need?

Ask your permit office for the design wind speed at your address. It is higher toward the coast. The design also depends on how open the site is, so tell us about nearby open water, fields or marsh.

My property is in a flood zone. Can I still put up a building?

Often, but check first. The parish floodplain office decides what applies to the building location, including elevation and anchoring. Ask before choosing the spot or pouring concrete. Wind requirements and flood requirements are separate checks.

What should I know about the ground?

Soft clay and high water tables are common, especially in south Louisiana. These affect how anchors hold and whether a truck can reach the building spot. If you plan a slab, ask your concrete contractor about the soil.

How do delivery and installation work?

We review your building, location and site details before confirming timing. You prepare a level site and arrange required local approvals. Soft shoulders, ditches at the driveway, gates, low limbs and standing water can make delivery harder. A quote request does not reserve an installation date.

Do I need to call 811 before installation?

Yes. Contact Louisiana 811 at least 48 hours, and no more than 120 hours, before work starts, not counting weekends and holidays. Tell them where the building will sit and that ground anchors will be installed.

Lines you own, such as power to a shop, are not marked through 811.

Does hurricane season affect scheduling?

It can. Hurricane season runs June through November, and storms can delay deliveries and crews for days or weeks. If you need the building before a certain date, tell us when you ask for a quote.
